Following yesterday's release of the recent world rankings by the world football governing body FIFA, Nigerians have reacted on the recent decline of the national football team known as the super eagles now translated to their position amongst other nations.
The super eagles are currently placed 40th in the world and 6th in Africa which is five places lower from the last release in the world in November and a place below in Africa and this recent release as expected has drawn diverse negative opinions from supporters of the national team who feel there are so many reasons for the unacceptable news.
However, of the bunch of relevant reasons stated or provided by supporters both on social media and in interviews on the streets has been the recent uncomfortable treatment of the players and staffs of the national team by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) who recent publications have accused of inconsistent payments which in one way or the other will affect productivity and efficiency especially with the latest rumors circulating concerning the Super Eagles gaffer Jose Peseiro being owed his ten months salary.
Some also feel the nations football governing body has had it terribly wrong in some sectors of administration which involves stedia infrastructure and poor stadium facilities to accommodate the super eagles.

A sector of people also believe that the country's under development comes with the questionable passion and character of some super eagles players, the choice of inviting these players themselves into the team and the issue of having a tactical manager which could take the team back to its glory days.
The super eagles however will have a chance to make up for their past mistakes in the next FIFA rankings which comes out in June after the international break coming up at end of major European football seasons which will feature the team going up against Serria Leone on June 12th 2023 aiming to get enhanced performances and get back into the top 3 at least in Africa and a higher ranking in the world.
