Rangers International of Enugu fans have certainly been impressed with most signings of manager Abdu Maikaba in the mid season window which were brought in to help stabilize the clubs primary vision of a possible top three finish in Group B of the NPFL despite a lesser expecting start to the new season.
But of all the signings one of which has stood out the most has been former Dakkada FC midfielder Austin Osayande who has stood out in the middle of the park as a sublime player that has gotten the supporters of the flying antelopes going head over heels considering the recruitment process of the coach and the club.
As a central midfielder who spent last season with 2021 Champions Akwa United, Osayande scored one of the best goals of the season for the defending champions which unfortunately turned out to be a consolation goal in a 4-1 away loss to Rivers United during his time away from Dakkada on loan but has already arrived Enugu with all experience and youth.

The 22 year old has already provided 2 assists in a single game for Rangers and gave the assist that won them a penalty against Bayelsa United on match week 10 and has also since then always coming off the bench completed about 20 passes per game recording an 85% pass accuracy when coming on.
His creativity and impressive style of play was rewarded on Sunday as Rangers manager Abdu Maikaba when he was handed his first league start in three games in the 1-1 draw with Lobi Stars but was substituted in the 62nd minute for Ruben Bala after creating three chances.

Osayande who joined the club on a two year deal from Dakkada in March 2023 has already signified his intentions to take Rangers to greater heights in an interview earlier and will be hoping to do so in games to come:

Up next for Abdu Maikaba and his reinforced gang is a trip to the western part of the country when they are entertained by high flying Sunshine Stars at the Akure Township stadium on Matchday 13 of the Nigerian Premier Football League as they currently sit seventh on the log with thirteen points from twelve games.
