OLISA NDAH OFFICIALLY BACK FROM INJURY FOR ORLANDO PIRATES

Nigerian international and Orlando Pirates center back Olisa Ndah has expressed his excitement and pleasure coming back from a long injury that had kept it out of the team list of the buccaneers for over three months since 2022.

The 24 year old defender picked up an injury on November 5, after unfortunately picking an injury in the 1-0 win against Amazulu in the MTN 8 Final last year and could not feature in eleven games for the Soweto giants after claiming his first silverware in South Africa but has now been officially cleared and declared fit to return to the first team set up and reclaim his image as one of the best defenders in the league.

It wasn't easy for me, — Olisa told renowned Nigerian league journalist Fetus Dada of Comfort FM Uyo. "It was difficult for me but I thank God for my family and friends they were always there for me and the club physiotherapists they did a great job because I'm supposed to start later than I have now but my progress shows that I'm improving better and I'm really happy to start playing again" - He added.

"My motivation was my family I always spoke to them, I always spoke to my dad and mum and they had to encourage me even when I was down there was time I didn't feel like doing the rehab, I was annoyed and everything but the doctors kept pushing me and they really helped me a lot to change my mindset on some certain areas and I'm glad that I'm back."
The former Akwa United defender has already solidified his image as a fan favorite at the Orlando Stadium and will look to get much more support under new manager Jose Riviero in his few games back from injury.
