Akwa United forward Sani Suleiman has been named the Nigeria Premier Football League Player of the Month for March.
Suleiman netted five goals during the month, bringing his season total to six.
The striker joined Akwa United in the mid-season transfer window.
He outperformed Christian Pyagbara, Nenrot Silas, Adams Olamilekan, Godwin Obaje, and Ejike Ugochukwu to secure the award.

Suleiman is the first Akwa United player in seven seasons and eight years to win this honor, following Alhassan Ibrahim's victory in April 2017.
