2023 Nigerian Premier Football League surprise package Bendel Insurance came from one goal down to salvage a draw away from home against Enyimba International on Sunday to keep their ten match unbeaten run intact in the league.
However, both manager and key players have turned down claims from the Nigerian media that the Benin Arsenal could challenge for the league title on their return to the top flight as just recently returned winger Micah Ojodomo has stated that the team is not distracted but taking a game at a time.
Ojodomo, who has been been affected by injury somewhat this season played against the people's elephants until when he had a collision which resulted in nose bleeding which further resulted in being subbed off in first half in an interview with NPFL TransferMarket boldly acknowledged some facts and provided some needed answers on circumstances surrounding the team's success

"Yeah, we are hopeful and very focused, taking it one step at a time and we are grateful to God too. We are focused and that’s what I can say nothing is impossible" Ojodomo replied on questions of the teams title credentials.
He also added when he was asked if the was something that motivated the team either financially or otherwise to such performances "Not really but we know what we want and our coach is not just a coach to us, he’s a father and a friend and he pushes us to be better everyday in training with shouts and motivation of us growing in football and life too and there is love in the team and we want to fight for each other so I will say this is our strength"
Every game here is important to the club ,coach and players. I take every game serious and hopefully we see what comes out of it but every game to us is important, we just want to win.
Micah Ojodomo returned to training days ago ahead of the sides fixture this Wednesday when Bendel Insurance entertain high flying Akwa United at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.
