A FIRST HALF ASSESSMENT FOR A RESURGENT SUNSHINE STARS WINGER —DAVID ONVO MONITORED BY NPFL CLUBS

David Onovo has played four home games for Sunshine Stars since joining the club in January 2023 and a further three away games and has quickly solidified his place as a coach and fans favorite at the Akure Township Stadium.

With two assists in the four home games he's played and a total of two pre assists so far,  including an impressive 85% duels won (the most by a Sunshine Stars attacker) David Onovo is slowly seeing the light in his NPFL career the way he would want it after leaving Akwa United in the 21/22 NPFL Season.

The Owena waves currently sit third on the log in the Group B with fifteen points from a possible twenty seven in the abridged version of the league so far and efforts from the twenty three year old winger.

David Onovo has completed ninety minutes for five consecutive games in a row in the front trio along side Olasupo and former Akwa United teammate Stephen Chukwude and has attracted the watchful eyes of major NPFL clubs especially with the Nigerian Premier Football League mid season transfer window open for about thirteen more days.

He'll be aiming for another goal contribution when Sunshine Stars travel to play Wikki Tourists in Matchday 10 when the league resumes should he remain under the tutelage of Edith Agoye and the Akure Gunners.
