THANKGOD IKEAGWU PROVIDES WINNING ASSIST AS KWARA SINK ENYIMBA IN ILLORIN

Heading into their fixture against reigning champions Enyimba International, Kwara United had nothing but revenge on their minds as they were all out to improve on their head to head record against Enyimba. They had lost home and away in their last two meetings and had just one win in their last five against the record champions.

Their match week 27 quest started quite well as Emmanuel Ogbole started the home team off with a dream goal in the game in the 8th minute. Enyimba would be relentless however and the people's elephants equalized before the end of the first 45 minutes thanks to Ikenna Cooper.

As things heated up the game would eventually swing in favor of the harmony boys once more and it just had to be the man who promised the fans a win - Ikeagwu ThankGod who had promised the Kwara fans a positive game that had a hand in the goal. His shot from outside the box was saved by Enyimba goalkeeper Bassa Djeri but the rebound was tucked in by Emmanuel Egbole once again to complete his brace in the 49th minute.

I feel satisfied for now because we haven't just beaten any team but we have beaten Enyimba and we proved today that we can do anything when we listen to our manager and play with our hearts like we promised we would before the game. — The midfielder said after the game to NPFL TransferMarket.
