NENROT SILAS SCORES A HATRICK AS PLATEAU SINK GOMBE

Plateau United hosted out of form Gombe United at home at the New Jos Stadium in the Nigerian Premier Football League match week 25 fixture earlier today aiming to make a statement in their title charge and possibly climb to the submit of the league.

The home side came into the game hot but opened the scoring in the second half through Alex enejo in the 53rd minute. But the game was only starting to get entertaining. Goals in the 69th and 72nd minute from Nenrot Silas meant the former Sporting Lagos forward bagged a brace inside three minutes.

Silas would go on to complete his hatrick in the 80th minute of the game all inside eleven minutes to become the second Plateau United player to hit a hatrick this season after Albert Hillary and became the fifth Nigerian Premier Football League player to score at least three goals in a game this season after Nyima Nwagua (Rivers United), Robert Mizo (Bayelsa United), Yusuf Abdullahi (Kano Pillars) and Albert Hillary (Plateau United).

"

I feel happy, so excited, its always a nice feeling when someone in my position scores a hatrick, so its a nice feeling" — Silas said to league leading blog NPFL TransferMarket

Plateau United now move up to second on the league table on 44 points and just two points behind table toppers Lobi Stars. Coach Magnus Mbwas and his men will now look forward to a tie against Kastina United away from home in their next game with Nenrot Silas a huge threat to watch out for.
