Former Npfl goalkeeper of the year Adewale Adeyinka will remain at Kwara United for another season after the illorin outfit activated the option to extend his stay on his contract!
Adeyinka who was set to leave the harmony boys last week with offers from two other NPFL heavyweights and an east African club on the table will now continue with Kwara United for at least one more season after he disclosed that a main reason for his contract extension was his remarkable relationship with his club chairman Jumbo Titiloye .
I feel alright staying here for at least some more time to achieve great things with these great players and establishment. Personally I have a wonderful relationship with the chairman and he ensures we see our relevance here.
He assured me of an improvement in our financial agreement and coupled with the trust I feel like I'm the highest paid player in the league so I can't wait to start next season.
Since leaving Akwa United Adeyinka has had a rather torrid campaign with Kwara United which has seen them utilize two managers in their bid to survive relegation last season in the midst of an injury to the goalkeeper. Kwara United will hope the 2023/2024 comes with more promises like back in 2022 when they made it into the CAF Confederations Cup.
