Sunshine Stars winger David Onovo has stated that the clubs 1-1 draw with Bendel Insurance yesterday in the last kick off game of the Nigerian Premier Football League Super Six Playoffs although being motivation towards their next game still means they could improve better in preparation for their third game.

The Akure gunners qualified for the super six from Group B of the Nigerian Premier Football League after finishing third and are now in the super six championship playoffs pushing for a chance to either win the title or finish in the top three and quality for CAF inter club competitions either in the CAF Champions League or CAF Confederations Cup.

The clubs first game was a 1-0 loss to defending Champions Rivers United following a penalty converted in the second half by Ebube Duru and they picked up their first point following a draw against the league's most inform side Bendel Insurance who made it 20 games unbeaten in the league after Ekerette Udom's second half equalizer for Sunshine Stars.

"For me I think Sunshine Stars is a club that doesn't settle for less and hardwork is our motto. Every single player here plays every game with absolute determination to win the games but sometimes results don't work for us and that's football" - Onovo said while talking to NPFL TransferMarket yesterday.
