FLYING EAGLES AIM FOR SEMI FINALS AGAINST UGANDA WITH WORLD CUP TICKET IN SIGHT

The Under 20 Football team of Nigeria known as the flying eagles were on Tuesday handed a tough draw against unbeaten Uganda in the Total U20 African Cup Of Nations in Egypt's quarterfinals.

Ladan Bosso's boys bounced back from a terrible start following a 1-0 loss to group toppers Senegal by following it up with back to back wins against hosts Egypt and South African nation Mozambique.

They added some flair to their qualification by scoring eye catching stunners and unbelievable screamers in the two goals against Mozambique and were further awarded with the recognition of the fair play team of the group stage following their remarkable disciplinary record.

But the record seven time champions will perhaps now face a much more tougher opposition again in the last eight this time in the name of Uganda. The hippos finished unbeaten and top of their group A in the tournament and will now face Nigeria on Thursday evening at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismaila by 19:00 Nigerian time.

However, the game will serve as a double header as victory for one team won't only send them into the last four of the competition but also guarantees them a place in the FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia next year and the flying eagles after missing out of the last edition would be eager to reestablish their appearance of the biggest stage of them all.
