WORLD CUP ZONE: KANE INJURED, HERNANDEZ INJURED, More Updates on injured players at the ongoing World Cup

Its no longer news that over 15 or more senior players who would have been at least guaranteed a starting shirt or second half warm up at the world cup. Most months before, weeks before and even some painfully days before and if you thought it ended there, you were probably wrong.

French defender and left back Lucas Hernandez has torn his ACL and will now miss the World Cup in Qatar and further miss out the rest of the 2022/2023 season with Bayern Munich when the World cup break is over.

Its a sad news for the defending World Champions France as barely a week into the title defense, they've now lost Bayern Munich left back Lucas Hernandez, Balon D'Or winner Karim Benzema, PSG star defender Presnell Kimpembe and Leipzig top scorer Christopher Nkunku who joined the list of Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante earlier.

France may have broken and set new records last night with Giroud's heroics against the socceroos in a 4-1 comeback thrashing but that wasn't the only thing that broke. Hernandez was substituted in the first half after being injured in the build up to Australia's first and only goal and replaced by his brother Theo Hernandez of AC Milan.

Somewhere up north in Qatar as well the three lions face injury issues, captain Harry Kane is set to undergo an ankle scan after picking up an ankle injury to at least signify if he can continue at the world cup maybe for the remaining 2 group stage games initially, you never can tell how bad the results could turn out.
Its obviously a result of the 6-2 whole hearted performance against Iran on Monday. Callum Wilson would probably be in line for a starting shirt should the Tothenham man not return in time as he looks ruled out of the game against USA with James Madison will out on the sidelines.
